A series of photographs exploring the town of Tipton.
A friend of mine visiting my home in Wednesbury said "in Denmark towns like this are already dead". He said it would happen here soon - it's happening all over Europe.
After exploring many local towns I came across Tipton, said to be one of the most deprived areas in the country. I began to wonder how the people feel about their area and decided to ask them.
Despite crime, deprivation and other challenges it was clear that the spirit of the community had not been broken. People welcomed me warmly, gave me things and asked what other help they could give. This was unique and a good lesson about making assumptions.
