Employment/Work Experience

October 2015 - present

Freelance project and event coordinator and photographer. Generally working on a project basis to support organisations, companies and individuals. As well as taking on Artist Commissions. For more detailed project coordination information see my project portfolio here.

JULY 2014 - OCTOBER 2015

Programme Coordinator, DanceXchange and International Dance Festival Birmingham. My role was primarily to coordinate classes and workshops, including the professional youth training scheme the Centre for Advanced Training, across all facilities and off-site activity. Assisting the Programme Manager for Performance, the Programme Manager for Participation in the management of all performances, events, classes, workshops and courses and to work with the Operations Coordinator to ensure all dx activity with regards to those activities were staffed correctly and well managed. A crucial aspect of the role was to support the Programme Managers in the efficient and effective delivery of a creative programme, successfully cross-fertilising performance and participatory activities.

January 2011 - july 2014

Programme and Marketing Assistant, DanceXchange and Festival Programme Coordinator International Dance Festival Birmingham 2012 and 2014. Assisting the Programme Manager in all aspects of managing the theatre and festival performance programme, events and an artist development programme; working closely with associate and commissioned artists. Support the Marketing and Press Manager with day to day marketing activities. I was responsible for coordinating the Jerwood Choreographic Research Project. I specifically project managed an outdoor solo dance piece called Headphones which was commissioned as part of IDFB (now called Birmingham International Dance Festival)
